Cristiano Ronaldo breaks down in tears after seeing his mother cry following penalty miss against Slovenia

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo has stirred emotions online after a video surfaced of him in tears upon noticing his mother crying following his missed penalty during Portugal’s Euro 2024 round of 16 match against Slovenia.

The emotional moment occurred in extra time when Ronaldo, attempting to put Portugal ahead, failed to convert from the penalty spot.

Despite the miss, Portugal eventually secured victory via a nerve-wracking penalty shootout, with Slovenia missing all three of their attempts.

Ronaldo, along with teammates Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva, successfully netted their penalties, ensuring Portugal’s progression to the next stage of the tournament.

The heart-wrenching scene captured Ronaldo’s raw emotions as he looked up at his visibly disappointed mother during a pep talk from manager Roberto Martinez.
