Nigerian musician, Terry Ejeh, popularly known as Terry Apala, has disclosed that he is doing his best to preserve Apala music and ensure its evolution.
He said he has always loved Apala music right from his childhood, and though he is not from the south west where the genre originated, his background in the Mushin area of Lagos inspired him to wholeheartedly embrace it.
The artiste also revealed that a good number of young music lovers informed him that it is because of him they listen to Apala music.
According to Terry, he believes music is one of the best ways to spread the Nigerian culture across the world and that is what he wishes to achieve because ‘it is important to propagate what is ours’.
