Renowned Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has playfully thrown a jab at singer Wizkid while praising the widespread attention surrounding Davido’s wedding.
He humorously expressed that promoting his show would be challenging due to the overwhelming focus on Davido’s special day.
Basketmouth jokingly acknowledged that Davido’s wedding has completely captured the social media space, making it difficult for other events to gain attention.
He quipped that using the hashtag #Chivido2024 to promote his show wouldn’t be effective, as the attention is firmly on Davido and Chioma’s wedding.
In a lighthearted remark, Basketmouth threw shades at Wizkid’s recent social media drama, saying that it failed to generate significant buzz due to the dominant focus on Davido’s wedding.
He wrote:
“Davido’s wedding has taken over the social media space.
“Except you want us to start using Chivido2024 to promote the show. Which I don’t think will work.
“Because, even Wizkid wey throw shade, nobody send am.”

Wizkid had caused a frenzy after tweeting “Lol [laughing out loud]” moments after Davido released his pre-wedding photos.
The Starboy record label boss again on Monday morning, June 24, shared what appeared to be a shade at his rival, Davido, according to some fans.
On his X handle, Wizkid wrote:
“Saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth! Your king loves you.”
His post elicited mixed reactions, with many insinuating that he was shading Davido’s soon-to-be wife, Chioma, who has been very understanding with the singer despite cheating allegations.
