On Twitter (now X), the veteran movie star shared a Bible verse to celebrate Father’s Day 2024, specifically praising responsible fathers and praying for their strength, favour, and blessings.

She wrote:

“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, and he who sires a wise child will have joy in him.
Proverbs 23:24 AMP
Happy Father’s Day to all the responsible fathers here.

Her message upset many, who noted a double standard in her celebration of Mother’s Day versus Father’s Day. A netizen highlighted her hypocrisy by sharing a screenshot of her Mother’s Day message, tweeting, “This is why she’s being dragged. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”

Kate Henshaw stood by her words, replying, “I said what I said.”

Another cybernaut criticized her for not acknowledging all fathers, saying, “It is not responsible Fathers Day. It is Fathers Day.” Kate responded, “My tweet!! My timeline!! You don’t have to engage.”

She further addressed her critics by stating she would enjoy her life regardless of their comments. “I dey go chop ram meat. You will be alright or better still, never be. Name calling no dey shake me,” she tweeted.

Emphasizing her stance, Kate added, “Tweet your own, but one thing you will NOT do is tell me what to tweet… C’est fini. Drag koor. Pull ni.”
