Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar tearfully shared her struggle with a strange illness which isolated her from the public for a long time.
In a recent video on Instagram, she revealed that only she truly understands the troubles she has faced due to her condition.
Abubakar expressed heartfelt gratitude to her colleagues and everyone who supported her without criticism or judgment.
Amid tears, she described the illness as feeling like a punishment from the devil but acknowledged that God used it to teach her a valuable lesson and to make her more appreciative of life.
She admitted to using a filter in the video to improve her appearance, adding that her face wasn’t quite presentable
Halima emphasized that she was not seeking pity but wanted to show appreciation to her Maker for sustaining her through the severe illness, one she would not wish on anyone.
In the video’s caption, she wrote:

Recall that a few months back, Halima Abubakar was ordered by a Federal High Court to pay a fine of N10 million for disseminating defamatory statements about Apostle Johnson Suleman, the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International.
The court’s decision mandated Abubakar to compensate Apostle Suleman for damages resulting from her actions.
According to the court’s certified true copy of the judgement, Apostle Suleman accused Abubakar of posting derogatory remarks about him on her Instagram account, which were subsequently circulated by various blogs and newspapers.
Justice Enobie Obanor, presiding over the case, highlighted that Abubakar had the opportunity to defend herself but failed to do so.
The judgement emphasized that the statements shared by Abubakar on her Instagram handle, @halimabubakar, were both false and malicious, damaging the reputation of Apostle Suleman in the eyes of the public.
As a result, the court awarded N10,000,000 to Apostle Suleman as aggravated and exemplary damages for libel.
Additionally, the court issued an injunction prohibiting Abubakar from making any further publications regarding Apostle Suleman.
