Popular Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, has chosen his favorite between two of the most prominent Nigerian musicians, Burna Boy and Davido.
During a recent conversation with Oma Sports TV, Maduka Okoye was asked to choose between Davido and Burna Boy, and he went with the former, giving reason for his preference.
Maduka Okoye explained that Burna Boy is an exceptional artist and he enjoys a lot of his music, however, he listens to Davido’s more frequently.
He stated:
“Burna Boy or Davido? Davido. Musically, Burna Boy is on another level, 100 per cent. He’s a top artist but I prefer Davido.
“I listen more to Davido than Burna Boy. There are Burna Boy’s songs that I love but there is more of Davido on my playlist. Davido’s songs fit my personality; they are very playful. I really like Davido.”
In another story, Terry G has dubbed Burna Boy as superior to Wizkid and Davido, both local and international.
The ‘Akpako Master’, made this bold statement during an appearance on the audio-visual podcast,”The Honest Bunch,” hosted by media personality Nedu Wazobia and others.
The discussion arose when Terry G was prompted to weigh in on the trending industry rivalry between Wizkid and Davido.
Terry G described Davido as one who makes African music; the kind of songs Africans can easily relate to while Wizkid is more of an international artiste.
Regarding Burna Boy, Terry G wasted no time shaking things up, asserting that Burna Boy reigns supreme over both Wizkid and Davido.
He emphasized Burna Boy’s dominance not only within Africa but also on a global scale, positioning him as the pinnacle of contemporary African music.
