“Why I can’t marry a lady who’s been to Lagos” – Speed Darlington

Controversial Nigerian singer and social media personality, Speed Darlington, has stirred up a storm with his recent declaration that he refuses to marry any woman who has lived in or visited Lagos.

The artist, who recently launched a high-profile search for a wife, cited his encounter at an airport as the catalyst for his decision.

In a video shared on his social media page, Speed Darlington recounted an experience he had at an airport, where he observed a Nigerian lady accompanied by a Caucasian man.

Using this sighting as a starting point, the singer began criticizing the behavior of women in Lagos, especially how they prioritize making money over everything else.

Expressing his views, Speed Darlington asserted that a significant number of women residing in or having lived in Lagos tend to prioritize money above all else.

He lamented what he perceives as a prevailing culture of materialism and opportunism among women in the city, implying that such traits are undesirable in a potential life partner.

“I cannot marry any woman who has lived or is currently living in Lagos,” Speed Darlington said.
