Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, an Ijaw activist, has waded into the political crisis rocking Rivers state.
As reported by The Punch on Tuesday, May 13, Dokubo claimed that the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, was âplaying godâ with his recent actions against his preferred successor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state.
The Ijaw activist also accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of handing over âRivers and Bayelsa statesâ to the ex-governor.
He added:
Meanwhile, in another twist to the ongoing crisis, Fubara announced that he would probe and prosecute Wike’s government in Rivers state.
The governor’s comment came after Wike expressed regret in nominating Fubara as his successor and vowed to correct his mistake at the right time.
Earlier, TimesNow.com.ng reported that Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari said a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, wanted him to rot away in detention in the Department of State Service (DSS).
Dokubo, however, praised President Bola Tinubu, for coming to his rescue more than 17 years ago.
Speaking in a Facebook Live, monitored by TimesNow.com.ng, Dokubo expressed his admiration for the current Nigerian No.1 citizen while reiterating his contempt for one of Tinubu’s predecessors – Obasanjo.
