Popular TikTok influencer Nicki DaBarbie has broken her silence following her recent arrest and subsequent release on bail, addressing allegations of cyberstalking musician Skiibii.
After spending two weeks in jail, Nicki DaBarbie was granted bail, but the controversy surrounding her arrest continues to spark conversation.
The arrest followed accusations made by the influencer against Skiibii and fellow artist Mayorkun, alleging that they had drugged her with intentions of using her for ritual.
In her latest social media post, Nicki DaBarbie expressed frustration stating that she frequently faces imprisonment whenever she defends herself.
Nicki DaBarbie criticized the justice system, suggesting that it favors those with greater wealth and popularity, often at the expense of truth and evidence.
She claimed that her live video during the incident might have been the key to her safety, preventing a worse outcome.
In her words;
“Whenever I speak up for myself I get thrown in prison. If you threaten my life, I’ll still call you out, prison or no prison. The system is messed up. It’s who is more popular and has more money they would side with, even with all your evidence. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn’t quickly gone live that day. Maybe my dead body would have been found on the roadside just to keep me silent. Grateful to God almighty for my life. Each time I trust a man, they show me shege banza.”
