On Wednesday, May 15, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state announced the passing of his deputy chief of staff (DCoS), Gboyega Soyannwo.
As reported by The Punch, Soyannwo died on Wednesday after a brief illness. He was aged 55.
As Vanguard also reported, the death was announced in a statement signed by the state’s commissioner for information and strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotosho.
In a post sighted by TimesNow.com.ng and shared on his X page, the governor wrote:
Describing Gboyega as his ally and brother, he prayed for his soul to rest in peace with his maker.
TimesNow.com.ng understands that the late Gboyega Soyannwo is survived by a wife and two children.
In a similar development, TimesNow.com.ng reported that on Saturday, May 4, the special adviser to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state on community relations, Chief Kester Ogualili, passed away.
Ogualili passed away at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital after a protracted illness.
The deceased, who hailed from Dunukofia local government area in Anambra state, lived most of his life in Borno.
