I took Junior Pope like a brother, but stabbed me in the back repeatedly – Yul Edochie

Popular actor and online preacher Yul Edochie has finally broken his silence on why he didn’t mourn the passing of Nollywood star Junior Pope. In a bombshell statement released on Tuesday, May 20, Yul addressed the swirling speculation and curiosity surrounding his conspicuous silence after Junior Pope’s death.

Yul admitted that many have been left scratching their heads, wondering why he refrained from offering public condolences or paying tribute to his late colleague.

He hinted at a deep-seated betrayal that tainted their relationship, revealed that he had always treated Junior Pope like a brother and a close friend.

Yul Edochie wrote;

“I didn’t want to say anything till after hus burial. I know many asked why I was not there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since. I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly.

“That’s life. I’ll drop the full details soon so others can learn from it. Be careful what you wish people, It could come to you.”

This is coming few days after Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, May Edochie, recently posted photos from her condolence visit to late actor Junior Pope’s wife as she continues to mourn the demise of her husband.

One of the photos showed May consoling the widow, who lay on her with a sad face.

Other netizens were quick to point out the changes in her physical appearance as well.

Sharing the pictures on her Instagram page, May prayed for the actor’s family to find happiness again.

“I encourage you to look up to the hills and draw strength from the Lord. I know how difficult it was to get these smiles but I pray you are able to find reasons to smile again in all of these,” May wrote in part
