Nollywood actor Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has publicly reached out to the founder of Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Adeboye.
In a video shared online, Lege Miami shared a personal encounter with a church member who requested financial assistance for school fees.
Lege Miami urged Pastor Adeboye to make his private university more accessible to church members.
According to the actor, his plea is rooted in his concern for the welfare of church members who contribute financially to the church.
He stated that these contributions could be used to maintain the university, allowing members to receive a free education.
Lege Miami emphasized that many, like himself, who are being approached for assistance, are struggling to make ends meet.
He respectfully suggested that church workers who receive a salary should be willing to serve without compensation, just as many do for the sake of their faith.
In his words:
“Pastor Adeboye, good evening, Sir. Lege Miami is my name on social media. I advocate for the youths, and someone contacted me saying he wants to pay his school fees. I asked him which church he was going and he said Redeemed. I know you own a school, and it’s due to the money your church members are contributing. Please don’t be offended. Can’t your church members be going to school for free? And the money being contributed to your church should be used to maintain the school. Daddy, please, some of us that your members are begging haven’t eaten. Those who are working in your church and are collecting money from you should be banned if they can’t work freely for God.
Don’t be offended, sir. Members of Redeem Christian Church, please don’t be offended too”.
